In the case of Okiya Omtatah Okoiti v KEMRI Board of Management [2014] eKLR (Ind Ct), Dr. Kizito Lubano blew the whistle on malpractices at KEMRI. He was demoted and transferred to a small centre and started receiving warning letters that he had never had before in his 20 years of service.
